Scratching at the edges of my sanity,
Scraping at the glass of my fractured mind.
Internal warfare, wearing down the appetite,
This broken architecture is swallowing me alive.
Painting on the mask to save the dying face,
Scars are growing where the ghosts remain.
I REFUSE TO SETTLE WITH THIS!
I OWE MYSELF AT LEAST THAT!
I’LL PEEL AWAY THESE LAYERS—
TO SAVE ME FROM ME!
Shedding every piece that I used to know,
Riding on the bitter tide that drags me below.
Crushing every fear beneath the weight of truth,
Giving everything that it takes.
Tear down the walls inside my head,
Leave no trace of what I once became.
Breaking apart to rebuild again,
Before there is nothing left to save.
I REFUSE TO SETTLE WITH THIS!
